Hello Kitty! Hello Christmas! With my Mom

How I'd love to have this as a wallpaper in my room! :D
Hey hey...I was never late with this! It's just that...I failed to bring my trusty Olympus Tough camera (what a sweet irony to take an Olympus Tough to photograph this exhibit :D) during our previous visits. As I used to be one big Hello Kitty fan during the good old days, I never let this opportunity pass me by.

The first time I saw this Hello Kitty Christmas exhibit, I knew I had to capture the moment. Me and my mom were big Hello Kitty fans. Ever since I started school, my gears had to be a complete Hello Kitty collection from Sanrio/Gift Gate. During my childhood, whenever we went to the mall, it was a must to pay a visit at Gift Gate and buy genuine Hello Kitty stuff - stationery, toys, clothes, bags (complete collection sets of various bag sizes and styles), wallets, pencils, pens, erasers, and pencil cases. My aunt, when she was in Japan, even gave me a Hello Kitty toy piano, watch, battery-operated sharpener, and music box. Unfortunately, throughout the years, my interest in Hello Kitty has vanished slowly - thanks to the various cheap imitations that are in the market nowadays.

Having said that, to my readers from the younger generations, this is to let you know that Hello Kitty was way, way older than you. And your moms were also big fans - even bigger fans than you, for all you know.

This genuine Hello Kitty Christmas exhibit - I simply could not let go. Good thing that we were able to return few days before the exhibit ends, and take photographs that made me (and my mom) feel some 20 years younger. :)
Mom was more excited than me!
Welcome! :)
She boxed-out for this photo. :D
Marry me...please.

And yes, to everyone who perceives me as a strong alpha-female just because I do mountain climbing and extreme adventures, this is one proof that I'm not completely what you think. I'm just a girl who easily gets giddy-happy when experiencing new stuff, seeing something fancy, or tasting something extra delectable! That's what made me love life's various thrills so much!

Oh, and if you're like me who failed to catch this kitty before Christmas, you still have until Sunday, January 6, 2013, to do so. If you can do so right now, go get that camera and head to The Block at SM City North Edsa before the mall closes.

P.S. Take your mom with you. She'll enjoy it.:)

P.P.S. There's also an end-of-season sale ongoing at SM North from January 4-13, 2013, with up to 70% off on selected items, if you're interested to know. As for me, I was thankful to hit the mall a day before the sale because I really can't stand extremely crowded places.
