Ended the Day in (Venice) Venetian Macao

outside Venetian Macao
Venetian Macao is located just across City of Dreams so it has been decided that we would conclude the long day by dropping by. We were done with all the free attractions so we really had no activity in Venetian Macao but to enjoy the Venetian ambience. (hint: If you are on to capping the night by doing something romantic for a special someone, you could avail of their gondola ride and at least feel that you are somewhere in the canals of Venice. Since we had no intentions to be romantic, we just snobbed the opportunity. Okay, the truth is, we're just a couple of friends whose stinginess are also equally matched! The gondola ride is NOT FREE.)

I really was in Italy!
We were already more than satisfied to spend some time in Venetian Macao. What especially caught my attention was the food court which gave the impression that we were not on an indoor location but casually dining outside, in the streets of Venice. I love how they wonderfully did their ceiling painting. Or is that really a ceiling or the skies? If not for the fact that we just came from outside and it was already dark, I'd really believe that the place had no ceiling.
Yes, this is Venetian Macao's indoor food court.
We did not do anything in Venetian Macao - no free attractions, just satisfied ourselves with the photos.

So that's it. Our seven-hour walking tour in Macau was over. It was time that we boarded a shuttle service (for free again) taking us to the port to Hongkong. The next day would be another long day.

  1. Hi Chris - I'm glad you had a great time in pseudo-Venice - even though there was no fun free activities! I like how you go for all the free attractions - you are a traveler after my own heart! That indoor restaurant looked very cool - and light! I can hardly believe you guys were there at night!

I stopped by to honor you with the The Liebster Blog award. I love your travel stories and would like to recognize you if you will accept? My latest blog post on Go Momma has the details - it involves answering 11 questions (non-travel related I'm afraid) that will hopefully reveal more of who you are to your readers!

    hugs, from Josie

  2. Wow Josie thank you so much for that. Definitely I will accept and I'll be checking it now. :) And by the way, I'm loving the fact that we both love free attractions. ^_^
