That was what happened. Boots bought a ticket for me 10 days before his supposedly solo trip abroad. Maybe he pitied me for not being able to join my originally supposed trip due to a broken promise (hmm, another story). And then, he asked me to prepare our itinerary. First things first, we set our maximum budget to P20,000.00 per head. And then, we decided on a place to stay, and I prepared the list of places that we must go to and things we must do (via time-constrained internet research).
Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on a P20,000.00 per head budget? Yes, it is very possible. And these are the things that we experienced and enjoyed during our 3 days stay in Singapore (in sequence):
- accommodation in a hostel in Singapore with private bathroom, hot and cold shower, supply of coffee and water (replenished everyday)
- day tour to Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur
- day tour to Petronas in Kuala Lumpur
- cable car to and from Sentosa (not budgeted but yes, we were able to include it)
- fun day at Universal Studios Singapore
- souvenir photo with Optimus Prime at Universal Studios Singapore
- Palawan Beach at Sentosa (The Southern Most Point of Continental Asia - it's free!)
- Songs of the Sea (must-see!)
- Night Safari + tram
- Singapore Flyer
- G-Max and GX-5 (saved SGD 39.00 due to the Extreme Adrenaline Super Combo), plus bought the souvenir videos contained in a keychain light
- tour to Merlion Park (and Esplanade Park because we took a wrong turn - it's free!)
- Singtel sim card
- meals at Universal Studios, KFC, McDo, Wendy's, Burger King, 7-11
- all transportation and transfers
When it was time to go home, only coins were spared from the money that we brought. Nonetheless, we survived and no matter how small the savings were, bottomline is we still saved. Now, only if budget was the only constraint that we had...

May i know what is the hostel you stayed in and how much it cost per night? although we got a complimentary stay on our 2nd and 3rd night in SG, the 1st night will be on our account so we need some inexpensive place to stay.
